History of Ultra Balloon

Ultra Balloon is an arcade game, created by a Korean company SunA in 1996. It is a humorous fixed screen platform game, filled with various wacky creatures to fight.

In the game, the player takes the role of a baby that was transformed into a penguin. According to the story, mysterious things were happening in the baby's room one night, as the realm of the toy world was about to be shattered.

After a short introduction, the game moves on straight to the action, letting the player figure out the mechanics and controls for himself. All that needs to be done, though, is to kill all the enemies on the screen and collect the food that is dropped from them.

The penguin can shoot bubbles that make the enemies vulnerable, and also fart, what makes the monsters fall on the ground disabled for a while. A single touch of an enemy creature will result in losing a life. However, there are many kinds of power-ups available, but some of them might actually kill the player's character.

Ultra Balloon is very similar to another game called Bubble Bobble. However, it features many different elements, such as the ability to charge up the big bubble, and to fart; as well as unique creatures, bosses and game art.

Ultra Balloon is mostly praised for the unique and incredibly humorous art and design. Despite being one of those games that will make you die a million times to get more coins that you will spend on continues, it is considered fun, rewarding, and well-made. It even rewards the player with suggestive images of girls drawn in anime style.

Ultra Balloon remains one of the games with unexpected elements and is recommended by reviewers to be played at least once in a lifetime.
